The route

This year the National Quantum & Dark Matter Road Trip heading to regional and remote Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales, stopping at schools, libraries, pubs and other community hubs, as well as delivering public events in various (mostly metropolitan) areas.

Start, 7 August 2023: Melbourne/Naarm VIC

  • 7–11 August: Victoria & New South Wales, round trip from Melbourne/Naarm
  • 12–20 August: various locations, mostly capital cities
  • 21–26 August: Queensland, round trip from Townsville

End, 26 August 2023: Townsville QLD

The National Quantum & Dark Matter Road Trip will take a team of scientists and science communicators from Brisbane to Perth via Coffs Harbour, Sydney, Canberra, Bendigo, Stawell, Adelaide, Kalgoorlie and many more towns in between.  The route will take the team via schools, pubs, libraries, town halls and other community hubs.
